Landscape provides features for hike tracking which depend on precise location data including the real-time geographic location of your mobile device, when you use the app. This location data is stored locally on your phone and then saved to your device’s Health app at the end of a hike. Location data is never used for marketing or advertising purposes, and is never shared with 3rd parties.
Landscape provides the ability to see an accurate step count as well as percent oxygen levels for a recording of a hike. This requires access to your device’s accelerometer which provides movement data. This data is stored locally and saved to your device’s Health app at the end of a hike. Motion data is never used for marketing or advertising purposes, and is never shared with 3rd parties.
Landscape uses Apple Health for reading and writing hiking data. Hiking data from Apple Health includes precise location data, heart rates, and other metadata. This data will only be used to provide health, motion or fitness services in connection with the App. Data that is read from Apple Health never leaves your device, and will not be used for marketing, advertising or use-based data mining, including by third parties.
Landscape provides the ability to see photos you've taken from a hike alongside other stats. Your device’s camera is also used for viewing Landscape Models in augmented reality.
Landscape collects anonymized usage data, this includes attributes such as number of maps downloaded, frequency of visits to a certain screen, device model, iOS version number, and other attributes. This information is used to make business decisions and provide a better user experience. Landscape also collects anonymized and obfuscated hike data. This includes route data and is used to improve the service. The information we collect is always anonymized and therefore never linked to your identity. This information is never sold to third parties or used for any purpose outside of improving our application and services.
We comply with the California Online Privacy Protection Act. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.
We never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.
